Your Friends and Neighbors

The attempt here is to connect through art with those we know that produce it in the city we live in after a period of collective seclusion. The artists in the show were chosen using no criteria other than our memory of their existence and encounters. Some we see often and some we see rarely but it must be said that this show is by no means a survey of anything nor a collective agreement of support for our gallery’s past endeavors. It’s simply a gathering and a way for us to do an art show after the quarantine.

Après cette longue période d’isolement collectif, nous avons tenté de nousreconnecter grâce à l’art, aux gens qui le produisent, dans la ville où nous vivons. Les artistes de cette exposition ont été choisis sans autre critère que le souvenir de nos rencontres. Nous voyons certains souvent, d’autres rarement mais nous devons préciser que cette exposition n’est en aucun cas un état des lieux de quoi que ce soit ou la marque collective d’un soutien aux projets passés de la galerie. C’est simplement une manière de se revoir, tout en façonnant une exposition après ce confinement.
